I've tried a few of the green teas from Teavana and this is my favorite. It's very light and the toasted rice gives it a nutty flavor. I prefer a fruity or floral tea in between meals - but this is my favorite tea to drink with a meal. Because it's savory and light, the flavor doesn't clash with food.

Growing up in a Japanese household, we had green tea for breakfast and dinner. This is an excellent tea ... much better than the supermarket or tea bag version.
This is a lovely tea to drink anytime.

This is my "happy" green tea. I only drink green tea and this is light but earthy. I have given this as a gift to many friends and they all enjoy it

I rated this middle of the road rather than lower because this one is more a matter of personal taste than quality of tea. I had never tried genmaicha until now. It tasted fine, but the aroma was rather off-putting to me -- slightly akin to cat food (as a result of the toasted rice in the mix). The aroma is probably very subtle to most, but my olfactory nerve is apparently over-sensitive, so it turned out to be an unappealing blend for me.
Comments about Teavana Genmaicha Flavored Green Tea:
Genmaicha is usually made of just sencha and browned rice, but Teavana has a combination of sencha and bancha with browned rice. The result is a very smooth, vegetal green tea with a very velvety mouthfeel. The toasted rice adds some texture and buttery toastness to the vegetal Japanese green tea. Good quality tea and a great bargain.

This is the tea that broke my coffee habit. It is savory enough to have a hearty element to it, which is what I always missed about coffee. Great in the morning. It's the perfect early pick me up!!
