Alas, after 2 years the lid to my pot broke when my poor daughter didn't hold it while pouring a cup for me. She felt so bad. A new pot is in my future!

Initially I found the pot and strainer difficult to clean but got the hang of it after a while. I found that if I used a thin paring knife I could gently insert the tip of it into the thin slots of the strainer and that would push the tea debris out. I always hand wash my pot and found that using a dishcloth from both the inside and outside of the spout I could get the spout cleaned without too much trouble.

I always enjoy watching the color change as the tea steeps and it, along with my mate, have gotten me through a very snowy winter. I use the warmer all the time as I drink a full pot over the course of an afternoon. All in all, a great pot!

Would not recommend this teapot. The insert broke with very little use, and with careful handling. My dtr gave it to me for Christmas and will be very disappointed to hear that it broke right away. I don't have the heart to tell her. She just sent me alot of Teavana teas for my birthday. I hope Teavana makes this right.

This little darling was ill fated when she met my bumbling. Experience was a harsh mistress as I was shooting at the hip and a mishap occured.

Sadness at her delicateness learnt too late. Learn from me and serve always with two hands. May not be the better teapot to cut one's teeth on. Though, will buy a new one and will handle with far more care!

I got this teapot for Christmas and I love it. What I didn't expect was the little sentence on the box that says "not recommended for stove top use". You either use the glass warmer, or you boil the water in another common teapot and pour it into your glass one. Not using the warmer would probably even be best, or using the warmer only occasionally. because the pot is fragile and special attention is needed when cleaning it by hand. It is dishwasher safe, but it seems if you do it by hand, you take better care of your teapot, and it'll last longer.

I'm heartbroken because this beautiful teapot that I purchased two weeks ago is already broken. I sure enjoyed it for the short time I had it. I'm not normally a clutz but I acidentally broke the top edge of the insert on the sink. When I called Teavana they said the insert can't be replaced. It is EXTREMELY fragile and weak.
I would only recommend this to people to whom money is no object.
I noticed a lot of tea debri left in the tea itself so I kept a small mesh strainer nearby to strain out the leaves. The slots in the insert are almost impossible to clean.

I never did drink teas that had water boiled at 1000 degrees. I boil water to 80 degrees C and leave it 3-5 mins. Either loose tea leaves or teabags. Both work just fine. I wait until the
the teapot is cooled off and wash it and put on the tray to airdry. It looks very pretty on the stove.

My husband bought this teapot for me as a gift. It is absolutely beautiful and I love to brew my tea in this. Like someone else mentioned- using this teapot makes brewing tea more of an event and really fun!

Yes, the teapot is fragile, but if you are careful it can be a really beautiful teapot for you to use and enjoy. I have many pots and this is definitely the highlight of my collection!

I recieved this teapot as a present and I have really enjoyed using it. It's true glass is really fragile, but it is a beautiful way to brew and serve tea, especially if the teacups are glass as well. I would say the only thing that would be better would be the ability to buy replacement parts in case something breaks.

I love the tea pot and it worked will for about 4 months, but the inside glass piece that strains the tea is almost imposible to clean, and broke, after only a few months, and being extra careful with it when rinsing it out =(

I love the look of this teapot and with the glass warmer and tealight, it is a delightful way to brew tea. You can see the color as the tea steeps, and the shape of the pot is very beautiful. I use it every day, sometimes twice a day. However, I have only had this pot for a little over a year and I broke the infuser, and then the lid. Teavana does not sell replacement parts. The spout is difficult to clean and it is stained, as I brew mostly black teas. I might buy a new one and then I will have replacement parts!

I got this teapot from my mother for Christmas this year and I couldn't be more thrilled! It is beautiful and functional. Paired with the Purete Warmer it makes for a delightful tea experience! It is fun to watch the tea brew and be able to see the beautiful color. It is glass so I suppose one needs to be careful with it, but that's fine for me! It's fun for every day use and its elegance easily can be used for any special occasion. I am new to teavana and am very thrilled with the store. It's my new favorite store in the mall!

Is pretty but the handle is awkward and hard to hold on to/ Plus tea gets stuck in the glass slits. I have the one with the mesh/spring top that works much better. So go with a top filter and a normal handle and skip this one.

This is a very nice teapot. I enjoy it everyday. I handle it very carefully because it does seem very fragile but that goes for any fine glassware. The diffuser is nice and it's cool to watch the water change color as the tea steeps.

It seemed like a great tea pot/ elegant way to brew tea; you can see the color while steeping, etc. Drawback is that it didn't have tealight warmer included, apparently its sold seperately but associate failed to mention that and that was the most apealing about it to me. Bottom line, you can find similar items out there for a lot less money and a lot more durable!

This teapot is absolutely great. I looks very fragile and yes it is, but it is sturdy and I haven't have a problem with it breaking. I would recommend this teapot becuase it is the perfect size for one person who wants more than 1 cup or for 3 people who want one cup each. It also makes it really fun to watch as the tea infuses with the water. The money is worth being spent on this than on a regular teapot for that reason alone, in my opinion. I think you would definetely enjoy this pot.

Makes the tea making process special. Yes it is fragile but I don't bang it around like I would stainless steel pot. Easy to wash by hand or place on top rack of dishwasher.

I drink green or white tea in my teapot every day! I love the look, and it's very functional. I make three cups of tea in the pot and put the teapot on a warmer which I bought at Teavana as well. The tealight candle in the warmer keeps my tea hot and ready. It is a great way to start everyday!
