I bought this cup for convenience and so I would have a clean infuser handy when my teapot is dirty (Hey, I work on a separate floor from the kitchen.) I've had it for a couple of weeks now and have been very, very careful not to break it, in light of complaints I've read about glass infuser cups being fragile. So far it's survived, but it has other issues.

I drink a lot of different teas, and some of them, especially the Matevana and Samurai Chai Mate, are pretty fine. This is a problem when I brew them in this cup, because the many smaller leaves will slip right through the slits in the infuser part and end up in my tea. Many of the ones that don't slip through end up lodged in the slits and it takes some work to get them out. Part of the reason I like glass cups is that I can see the tea better, but the little floaters spoil the appearance a little. Also, I have to avoid swallowing the bits when I get to the bottom of the cup.

The other issue is that during steeping, the lid and infuser parts get very hot and are uncomfortable to handle without a paper towel or something between them and my fingers.

There's a great concept behind this cup and it's still handy when I need an extra infuser, but it definitely has some kinks that need working out.

Have enjoyed using this mug the last two months. Problem is, This thing is FRAGILE! I have always carefully hand washed and dried it. Today the handle pulled off along with half the side. Sometimes Tea gets stuck in the slits and is hard to get out without using a toothpick. Going to replace it with a stainless strainer.

I received two of them as a gift; they're lovely to use and look at. The one thing about the glass infuser is that tea leaf bits get stuck in the cut openings and the infuser itself cracks/breaks easily between the slits - I had to throw my infuser out due to this (unfortunate there are no replacements for the glass infuser) although I did find a fine mesh steel infuser that works as a replacement.

I received infuser as a Christmas Gift. Today is Jan 5th and the steeper is already cracked. I handwashed and never put in dishwasher. Too bad because I really thought this was a great gift when I received it. I went on this website to see if I could replace it but after reading other reviews I don't think I'll bother :(

Although this attractive mug & infuser seems like a simple product, it is not. In every single tea I've used in this mug, the tea leaves have fallen through the infuser slits, and most of the time they get stuck.After every use I have to spend 10+ minutes cleaning the infuser out. I purchased this so I could make a decent cup of tea without hassle, I did not end up satisfied.[...]The quality of Teavana products (whether it be there teas, or teaware) is very poor and very overpriced. Do not expect decent service if you go there. Hopefully you've read this message. I'm sure Teavana will be deleting it soon. :)

Sometimes fixing a whole pot isn't necessary - I just want one cup of tea. So I bought this glass mug and infuser for that purpose. It is incredibly fragile, but if I'm careful enough, that shouldn't be a problem. My issue is that I've made three cups of tea so far with this mug and each time, tea seeped through the slits of the infuser. So I have to restrain the tea which is a pain and messy.

I thought the mug was great and used it at work several times a day until I found a crack in the steeper this afternoon. It's never been through a dishwasher and I've been very careful with it. I've had it about two months.

Works great, good size also. Loose leaf teas are the way to go and this makes it easier than ever. I will add however that the inner part gets too hot to touch and the drain holes do plug with some teas. Possible areas of improvement.

I love this cup. I bought it to brew loose tea at work and absolutely love it. Very convenient to use and the tea leaves inside the steeper look beautiful - you can almost meditate seeing them open up. I think it will make a great gift for any tea enthusiast.

This stylish tea mug does everything it advertises. You add a teaspoon (or more) of your favorite tea and some hot water. Wait a minute or two and remove the internal steeping part of the mug, then enjoy your tea. The glass feels thin and fragile, but the description says it is very strong. I have the same impression with the glass kettle, is this thin glass really sturdy? Well, they it is, and everything else from the store is great, so I'll trust them on it. Be warned, use a towel to remove the lid and internal glass piece as they get super hot while steeping the tea!
