This herbal tea contains caffeine, although many people admit they have a different reaction to this stimulant as it is blended with the other natural xanthines found in Mate (theophylline and theobromine), one without jitteriness or addictive tendencies.

I loved the aroma and fully expected to enjoy this tea, but had the opposite reaction. While many are fans of mate tea, I personally do not like the flavor. I find it to be sweet with a medicinal aftertaste. I thought perhaps it was something in this particular blend, so I sampled another mate at the store and had the same reaction. So if you've never tried mate, you might like to sample it before buying.

When I first got this tea, I thought I really liked it. The more I drink it, I'm not so sure anymore. Something funny about it. Although to be fair, I have to say my boyfriend loves it.

I decided to try this tea after falling in love with Lemon Blast mate. I was a little unsure about it, but I fell in love from the first time I smelled it. It's a perfect combination of a lot of flavors, and they all come together fantastically when you brew it. I love this tea in the mornings to get me going, or if I know it's going to be a late night, I drink a cup mid-afternoon to keep me up. I love that it doesn't give you jitters, but it tastes almost like a nutty candy bar!

I'm always looking for morning teas that have a kick, so I tried the Spiced Nut Mate'. Although it is good, it didn't have the full nutty flavor I was hoping for. Now I blend it with the Formosa Nut Oolong - and it is perfect!!!

Spicy, smooth, smoky, nutty. Has many of the same qualities that I like in red wine. Except this perks you up!

I smelled this in the store and thought I'd found my tea soulmate. Once I brewed it, it smelled and tasted all too familiar--just like Southern Comfort. My boyfriend agreed. I guess I had one too many bad experiences because I had to give the rest one away. (His parents LOVED it). It's not bad at all...just too familiar.

I absolutely love this tea. It is wonderful in the morning to give you a gentle energy boost. Spicy and smokey at the same time, very unique, much like a tea version of coffee. Excellent when blended with Jasmine Oolong for the energy and weight loss benefits. Only con I believe is combining it with a short-steep/gentle tea, seeing as this has a longer steep time at a hotter temperature. Overall a must have in my tea cupboard!

I start mornings with this tea. I find that I like it so much I finish it before I get to the train. I like to steep my teas longer for a full flavor, but this one the orange peels, if steeped too long, overpower all the other flavors and aromas.
