I tried to enjoy this tea just on Saturday, when my teaching schedule allowed me time to sip and savor. Then, I wanted it more often so I got up earlier.
I don't want this every day, I choose it when I want that full body and spicy nature of this tea. I mix in with your jasmine pearl, or oolong tea to satisfy my freen tea needs. Two parts chai mate, one part green or oolong.

I first sampled this in the store with White Aryuvedic Chai, and the blend is amazing. It does wake me up, and i have given up coffee for this tea. I take it work with me in my steeping travel mug, and I can steep it 4 times, and it still has wonderful flavor, so I can drink it at work all day long.

This tea has some serious kick to it. Besides tasting great, very natural and spicy, this tea keeps me going more than any other I've tried. I'm an active gigging drummer and run a very busy schedule and this tea, usually iced with silver needle in my Swiss works bottle is just as necessary as my wallet and keys every day. Definitely recommend this to anyone trying to kick coffee habits in the morning. Go with the calm energy of this tea, it's worth it.

I've only ever had it at the free samples outside of the store and when i first tasted it i went back like ten times and by the time my friends had to pull me away i probably had at least a cup of tea. i fell in love with it, so many spices and flavors filled my senses and made me very alert and awake. Mixed 3/4 Samurai and 1/4 White Chai, this tea blend is amazing--easily replacing diet soda for me in the AM. I also get two infusions with it, the first 2 minutes long, the second 3 minutes long, along with a small pinch of rock sugar. I found this mix from a retail store that handed me this sample--simply amazing.

This is so delicious. I just had it for the first time and I love it. My house smells great after brewing it and, just like the description says, it has definitely awakened the samurai within. Wow. I mixed this with the White Ayurvedic Chai and it's pretty much the best tea I've EVER had! I tasted a sample in the store and just had to buy some. It's a little pricey, but you end up with 2oz. of both kinds. Worth every penny. It starts out with a sweet and spicy cinnamon flavor then the cinnamon mellows out and you get a slight taste of orange. Incredible. The smell alone is wonderful; like freshly baked cinnamon buns.

This tea is great, warm and spicey, but I use 3 tsp of tea for a 12 ounce cup and brew for 6 minutes. I tried it both ways, and I like it best without the rock sugar.

I don't know if I just didn't brew it right (followed all the directions) since the tea that I made at home was not as strong as the one I sampled at the store; however, it was still a really good quality tea and delicioso! I like to put sugar and milk in all my teas and felt I did not have to do so with this one because it was so good just with a little of the German rock sugar. I will try again to see if I get a better result. For those who are trying to switch from coffee to tea this is pretty good but be warn that the caffeine in this tea didn't keep me awake at work.

I originally bought this to go with the Teavana in store taste tester with White Ayurvedic, which was good but this tea is sooooo much better mixed equally with Marsala tea as well. It's oh my goodness good! I also add some milk and german rock sugar for a true chai blend. This is my families all time favorite combination (even the kids!) and it is a great pick me up without the coffee jitters.

I absolutely love this tea. I hate cinnamon with a passion, so I was very surprised that I enjoyed it. It has the full amount of caffeine as coffee, and I can certainly tell the difference from when I've had a cup in the morning or not. Unfortunately, I also love to drink it a night and it can keep me up! The smell is simply intoxicating, some of the others in my office think I have fresh potpourri at my desk! The only down side is that if you aren't paying attention to how long you brew it, it can get real strong real quick.

The store that I went to recommended this as a 'wake up' tea, with the equal amount of caffeine of coffee. I was doubtful at first, but I realized how awful coffee can be for you, and how good tea cane be (and I needed the caffeine) So I bought some loose, and started drinking an 8oz cup at 7am before work everyday, and surprisingly it was wonderful! It really does wake you up and keeps you going for a good part of the day! TRY IT, as a wake up call! **Also, it is great for a cold day (definitely in winter), just as an afternoon dessert treat.

I bought this tea because the manager at teavana told me it had as much caffeine as coffee. I started drinking a cup of the tea every morning, and I could not stay awake! My grades were slipping in school because I was falling asleep in class! As an honors student, this was just unacceptable. Before buying the tea I would drink only about half a cup of coffee, and I never had any trouble staying awake. This tea tastes great and is definitely excellent quality, but it will NOT wake you up.

My teavana store always has Matevana brewed along with rooibos chai and it tastes great. But an even better blend (more kick with the spicy chai) is the Matevana along with the Samurai chai mate and the White Ayurvedic with a bit of milk and raw sugar. I must admit that I've never had the samurai chai mate by itself as almost every tea I own ends up mixed with my favorite, matevana.

This tea is my favorite. It's fantastic hot or cold and tastes great without sweeteners or cream. It's spicy with a nice hint of citrus when it's served hot, though when it's cold the spicy taste is much more powerful. I like this one because of the great marriage between the delicate Rooibos and aggressive Green Mate. This makes a perfect pair. I can also appreciate the complimenting ingredients of cinnamon, almond flakes, papaya and pineapple.

I'm not quite sure, but there was something in this mix that didn't sit right with my nose. I'm a big fan of smells and if the beverage doesn't please my nostrils, it's harder for my palate to except it as well.

When I first opened the bag to smell, I was overwhelmed by the odor. It was so strong, it felt like it burned my little nostril hairs.

I enjoyed the taste after brewing but the strong odor still lingered.

I'm 50/50 with this mix. I'm 50% yes, because the taste and mix are wonderful together, but I'm also 50% no, because the odor turned me off to it.

I would still recommend this to a friend because, you just can't judge a good tasting tea by it's odor.

This tea is also wonderful iced with a bit of almond milk and sugar...but if you are sensitive to caffeine at night like I am don't enjoy it too close to bed time!!! I bought this last night and mixed it with my Roobis MateVana mix. It gave the tea even more flavor, brewed a second cup from the first without adding any more tea and still had full flavor. It's great warm or cool, and is very soothing. My coworker loved the smell it gave it to our small office area, and is begging me for some now. The perfect kick to spice up my old favorite.
It's not overpowering either. Very complimentary.
And I'm not wanting those snack packs I brought with me either. I feel full and satisfied.

This is such a wonderful tasting tea. I tried it one day and had to go back the next to get some. It has a wonderful, spicy flavor. It is not too spicy nor too bold. I mix my mate with everything, including green tea.

I bought this tea thinking that it might be a little too bitter or strong for me, but I'd sampled a tiny bit of it at the store here in San Antonio and liked it, so I figured I would just have to be careful about steeping in order to avoid that bitterness.
