there so many things i like about this tea. it great for bed time, it smell flowery and smooth tasting. i have to say there plenty of different variety of good stuff that make this tea taste wonderful. only thing that bothers me is there isn't enough rose bud. i wish there is more in the tea mix.

I bought this tea based on recommendation by the sales rep. Got the tea home and steeped for 2 minutes. Taste... much like water. Very disappointed. HOWEVER, add a lot of German Rock sugar, this tea ends up finding a full smooth body flavor out of nowhere. Its just too bad this tea tastes like tap water without sugar cause I tend to pick teas that taste great without sugar. This one doesn't. A good white tea of theirs that doesn't taste bad with no to little sugar is Peach Momotaro. The Lavender Dreams taste similar to a smoother sugared up inexpensive Tranquil Dream. I'm not sure I would like break the walls down to buy this expensive tea. But its not the worse thing out there. I might try the Snow Geisha as that smelled divine.

I made this super strong and the color shocked me, it was black or gray. I thought I burnt the tea but I reloads the violets and lavender made the bizarre color. I doubled the amount of tea per cup, and it was way better then the recommended amount. This is not a tea for first times but those who love unique flavors.

Very pleasantly surprised. This tea has a nice aroma with just a hint of sweetness. I received this as a gift. Although I have grown lavendar, I have never cared for it in foods or beverages. This was such a nice surprise. I could have taken it stronger, although I do not know how it would affect the overall flavor. It will become one of my special treats to myself.

Well DONE TEAvana!! Well done indeed. I bought this for my wife, whome suffers from chronic insomnia. After having one 8 oz cup of this wonderful natural sleep aid, she slept for a full night for the first time in almost a year. I went out and bought a pound, first thing the next morning. I would recommend this to anyone who has trouble sleeping or falling asleep. As an aside. BE sure to follow the steeping directions to the letter. Any variation of either side, with regards to water temperature and/or steep time will result in an unpleasant experience. Although, it does make for a nice iced tea if allowed to cool in the chill chest!

While I adore the scent of Lavender, this tea is one of the very few I couldn't finish. Gave the rest away! You can't always judge tea by its aroma, and this is one that you should try before you take it home.

Beautiful floral aroma but I thought the flavor was herby and astringent. Apparently I like the smell of lavender more than the taste. I tried blending with jasmine green tea and it was better tasting, but still not great. Blending with GoGo Goji was the best combo for me though not my favorite.

Really didn't know what to expect. Wanted a nighttime tea to help with sleep/relaxation. Great aroma before and after seeping. I get rosemary on the palate...must be the lavender. Works by itself, without sweetener, and blended with Pear Luna.

This is my favorite tea to drink in the evening. If you enjoy the scent of lavender you will love this tea. It seems to almost warm you from the inside out and bring about great relaxation. I've found that if I drink it right before bed I find it easier to fall asleep. It's also good at helping to relieve headaches naturally, which is helpful for females during pregnancy.

i was looking for something to ease me into sleep every night. i didn't want to take to many sleep aids. and this was recommended to us by the nicest girl at the san antonio teavana store (shout out to Dawn!). my husband & i tried it the moment we got back to our hotel. it relaxed us both and in a few minutes, we were OUT! ^_^ the most restful night's sleep in a while! this is definitely a keeper!

This tea has a great aroma. I drink it every night with jasmine pearls and sometimes I mix a little peach tranquility with it. It depends on what taste I am in the mood for. It is very relaxing and I sleep like a baby. I have bought it twice now and I am out again. I need to go get some more as I am truly addicted to it just like a coffee drinker is addicted to coffee. The taste is floral--but I drink it more for the relaxing effect it has on me. It is more like a wonderful tea drinking experience. If you like floral tea give it a try you won't be disappointed. This tea was just "okay" to me. At [$] per 2 ounces - I would expect to like it more. Needless to say, I drank all of it that I bought. I thought it needed some more pizazz, however - if you are looking for a soothing, low caffeine nighttime tea,this one is for you. The lavender flavor made me think of drinking bubble bath. That, mixed with the naturally mellow white tea just wasn't enough flavor for my tastes.

This is the tea that I go to when I want something light and soothing, and I'm not in the mood for a fruitier tea. This tea is great for curling up with a cup of tea and a book at the end of a long day. Just the aroma is very relaxing. This tea needs very little (if any) sweetener. Smells wonderful, tastes bitter. This tea is too bitter to drink alone. It has to be sweetened or blended with something before it's even remotely drinkable. I mixed it with Silver Needle and Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls.

Blended it's great.

After looking over other reviews, I do have to point out that mine is the new blend - the one with carrots, passion flowers, rosebuds, raisins, orange peels, etc.

I was so excited to try this; I had the store brew me a cup before purchasing, and it was really good! At home, though, I have been unable to replicate the same balanced flavor. Every put I have brewed has been very, very heavy on the floral notes - more so than the cup I tried in the store. It is like drinking perfume. It really does taste exactly like it smells, so that should give you an idea. I have taken to removing the big purple sugared "things" in it, hoping that would tone it down. It did a little.

I finally decided it needs to be blended. I tried it with Youthberry, and it made it drinkable. Then, I blended it with Eastern Beauty. I think it ruins the Eastern Beauty.

I don't think it's a bad tea, but it's just too strong on the lavender for me. I was hoping for subtle. I wish I could get the same taste I had in the store....

When served hot, the natural sweetness of the tea makes any additional sweetener unnecessary. When iced, it tastes best when *slightly* sweetened. This tea is best for people who prefer sweet, light, and floral tastes. If there is a store near you, I recommend smelling it, as it smells exactly as it tastes. I thought this tea sounded delicious, and perhaps it is for those who adore floral scents and flavors, but I can't get over the way it feels like I am drinking perfumed water. I tried it unsweetened and wasn't too fond, so the next time I added some raw honey, and that actually intensified the floral notes. I would not say this is a bad tea. I think I just prefer tea with spicy and citrus blends.

I had heard about lavender tea before, but never found one that smelled as nice as this blend does, so I gave it a try. Am I ever glad I did! This blends up aromatic and relaxing - a perfect blend of lavender and flowers. I brewed it a few times in a clear glass and was surprised at the purplish tint - very cool. Trust both the good and bad reviews. Some people who drink a great deal of caffeine will find this soothing, but if you're used to a red tea and herbal concoctions, do remember that white tea is caffeinated. If you have insomnia and are trying to find a tea to help regulate sleep, this isn't quite what you're looking for.

The white tea isn't the finest quality. If you brew it as instructed for either 'sort' of white tea, it will either be too weak and flat, or too bitter. However, with another tea that can stand on its own, a good white, a green or an oolong, you will be glad to have this. While Queen of Babylon stands on its own, it is terrible in blends. This actually brings out the flavor of an already good tea.

I love this tea! This was my first ever purchase from Teavana. The tea has the most amazing aroma of lavendar, but the floral is not overwhelming at all. The tea is light and relaxing. I usually have several cups in the evening. Brew it more than once! I usually get three cups out of one serving. It is not at all bitter unless you brew it too long or too hot.

This tea is my first purchase from Teavana. I was a little put off by the price, but this tea is absolutely delicious. It tastes like Lavender and that's really what I was looking for. This tea does contain caffeine, despite what other posters have stated, so it's not exactly a "perfect" bedtime tea. This tea would pair well with a dark chocolate (with Raspberry!) cake or torte. My only real problem beside the price is the overkill amount of ingredients for what is essentially white lavender tea. I do not taste any of the fruit or other flowers and I don't think a lot of ingredients are necessary. (Carrots? Really?) Though the rose buds are a beautiful addition and I can see where they have a place in this tea. Overall, delicious!

Lavender Dreams used to be my all time favorite tea. Several months ago I purchased the new blend not realizing the formula had changed... I can't say that the new blend is horrible but it unfortunately doesn't hold a candle to the original and therefore is not worth the price it is currently sold for. The current blend leans to the more fruity side and the carrots were a very unpleasant surprise. Unfortunately I have searched high and low for something comparable to it's original and have not been able to come close... :(

I am a college student and my boyfriend bought this tea for me to help me relax with the stress of finals (along with a whole kit that included the perfect teamaker). I love this tea! I think the problems that people are having are due to one of two things:

1. They are over-steeping it. 2 min. max makes perfect tea for me that is never bitter.
2. The water they are using is too hot.

I don't find that this tea puts me to sleep as much as some people say. It is definitely relaxing but not overly so.

The salesperson that sold me this tea told me that a woman came in raving about Lavender Dreams - said that she used it because she had trouble sleeping and she drank some and was asleep within 30 minutes. I avoided this tea because I'm sensitive to the smell of lavender, but this is light, smooth, and flavorful. I drank some myself as I was trying to relax before bed and was yawning before I knew it. I only bought two ounces for fear that it would be too strong, but it was perfect for me. I'm very happy with this one.

My all time favorite tea has been Lavender Dreams,it's very soothing and relaxing. A perfect blend after a long day. I've always recommended it to friends and have given it as a gift numerous times. I was very disappointed to see that the recipe had changed and even more disappointed when I tried it! The new blend has carrots, peaches, papaya,apples & raisins. I can't help but wonder what they were thinking changing the recipe and adding not only all the fruits but additional flowers. For the price...this is not my favorite. Although it is good, it reminds me of my lavender bath products. Like all Teavana teas, the quality and wonderful but I would rather purchase other teas from Teavana. What I love about lavender are the soothing and calming effects it has on the body and mind. I love drinking white tea before I go to bed each night. So when I found Lavender Dreams, I thought that I had found my perfect nighttime tea. I'm not sure if it is because I have grown accustomed to the lavender scents I use in my lotions and essential oil blends, but when I opened the Lavender Dreams package I became frightened. I thought, "How am I going to drink this?" because I associate the scent of lavender with skincare products and perfume. The fragrance of this tea is a bit overwhelming for my taste. I love lavender, but I guess I would rather not have it in my drink. It is not bitter, nor is it very sweet. The carrot and papaya pieces help balance the floral notes of lavender and violet (personally, not enough for me).

At the time I made my first ever review below I had ordered more Lavender Dreams tea. When I got it the tea was totally different!

The ingredients from the label of the previous is:
White tea, lavender blossoms, candied violets and flavoring.

In this tea there are NO other flowers or fruit much less carrots(?).

The new Lavender Dreams white tea says:
White tea, candied violet flowers, lavender blossoms, apples, raisins, papaya bits, peach pieces, orange peels, carrot slices, verbena, pink rose buds, cornflowers and passion flower blossoms.

Obviously they look and smell different and keeping an open mind, I tried a cup of this new tea.
It is ok but if I had wanted fruit flavored tea I would have ordered it.

I really, really love the original LDWT and when I e-mailed a request to return this (no problems) I asked and was told this was the new receipe. No going back. :(

Now where am I going to get this favorite of mine?

I am fairly new to loose leaf teas but thanks to my sister buying my first ceramic teapot and quality Earl Grey, I rarely drink anything else but loose leaf teas. I have a nice selection going now.

Lavender Dreams has to be one of my favorite flavored teas. As does another poster I also enjoy blending it with Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls. Great with a bit of dark chocolate candy too! :)

The trick with white and green tea is to not let it steep too long or use water that's too hot. I think that may be why some reviewers disliked this tea. I personally love it - Even though it is expensive I went through two bags of it in 2 months- it's that good. Just bring the water to an almost, almost boil (right before you hear the water starting to bubble), than only steep for a minute and a half to two minutes max. Adding honey helps to smooth out the taste as well.

In the past simple Chamomile tea bags always relaxed me before bed. I was disappointed in this tea because it did not. In fact every night I had it I had trouble falling asleep! I will use it in the day and finish it up and resort back to my Chamomile tea.

I purchased this tea from Tevana after tasting a variety of their teas my boss had purchased. The aroma and freashness was outstanding and needed very little tea for flavor.
My allergies were causing horrible congestion headaches and the meds the Dr. gave weren't helping. determined to ease my pain I read lavendar tea helps congestion.

I chose Teavana because I was impressed by their quality and I wanted to be sure I was taking something that was pure.

I also purchased the perfect teamaker and have it right at my desk. This has been a real releif for my headaches. I will continue to pass this along to other. Give the flovor a chance you can really rfell the movement in your nose.

The aroma of this tea is unbelievably good.. and strong! Definitely a treat for fans of lavender. The tea's flavor is very true to the scent as well - rich, straightforward, and not harsh at all; rather, the finish ends smoothly. I find the aroma and flavor relaxing, but I'm not sure how much of that I attribute to the tea itself versus the psychosomatic qualities of the beautiful scent. Interestingly, when brewed, it has a purple tint. I enjoy mixing this tea with the Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls - they make a delicious blend, especially if you add a teaspoon of sugar.

Ok, I only gave this three stars because it is a Lavender tea and I guess what do you expect. However, it really reminds of my laundry detergent, hand soap, shower gel, and dryer sheets. I might put the rest of it into a satchel next to my unmentionables. Also sort of reminds me of the time my grandmother washed my mouth out for cursing. Will not be buying more.
