Comments about Teavana Japanese Wild Cherry Flavored Green Tea:

I'm not usually a green tea drinker, but this one is the exception. It's strong, but has a nice cherry flavor and is a bit sweet. I like my tea pretty sweet and with this one I don't have to add much to sweeten. Pay attention to steeping directions, as this one only is to steep for a minute or gets bitter. Good tea for the price.

Very light and blends well with the green tea, making sure not to cover it. Thoae who taste it as too bitter or like cherry cough syrup have steeped it for too long, many a time I have forgotton how short the steeping time is for this tea and it has become bitter. When prepared correctly, it is light and refreshing.

I love this product.

I prefer traditional strong green teas with no sugar added. However, I do have a sweet tooth, and this tea manages to satisfy everything I need when I'm in the right mood; that is, when I want to move away from a dragonwell tea or oolong or any number of traditional Chinese tea.

If you have an aversion to cherry cough syrup don't purchase this. It doesn't taste like it but can remind you of it. I don't have those bad memories of taking cherry cough syrup, so I really enjoy this tea. Careful don't steep too long, as it will be bitter. The aroma makes me happy to drink it. I love the light taste, and drink it everyday.

Comments about Teavana Japanese Wild Cherry Flavored Green Tea:

This is one of the first teas I bought from Teavana. I don't like anything messing up the delicate flavor of a good green tea, however the store had this brewing and it was incredible - light and floral. When steeped properly, this tea is filled with the subtle aromas of spring. Good chilled, excellent hot. Those who have had the experience of 'cough syrup' have steeped too long, added too much sweetener (I swear it needs none), or added too much tea. I highly recommed this and have gifted it several times. I am severely disappointed that my store no longer carries it......

When I opened the can I admit I thought of cough syrup, but I decided to give it a chance. It is a delightful tea hot or iced. I don't know about putting stevia in it, when I did that it seemed to make it a little bitter. I usually like it sweetened with a bit of honey.

This is my all time favorite green tea...the light cherry flavor gives just enough of a sweetness to make this as enjoyable as candy with no guilt! Brew it for less than 2 minutes with a generous scoop and you won't be disappointed. Try a little stevia herb in it to perk up the sweet flavor. PLEASE don't discontinue!

The green tea is so overpowered by the cherry smell and flavor you would think you were drinking cough syrup. It is also a pain in the butt to filter. I tried drinking this tea many times, but my opinion never changed. If you don't like the taste of cherry cough syrup or maraschino cherries, this tea is definitely NOT the tea for you!

This tea smelled good in the store compared to the other green teas they have, but when i brewed it at home, it tasted like artificial cough syrup. i always finish all my tea, but not this one. it was nauseating and i only could stomach about 1/4 of the cup. i made it iced and it was still gross! i love green tea, if it is of good quality. i love teavana's red, white and black tea. i just wish i could find a good green tea there. i reccommend strawberry paraiso, roobios peach bloom and strawberry pu-erh, but this one, they should discontinue!

I thought I would love this tea, but after getting it I was sorely dissapointed. It smells extremely sweet and tastes the same. The cherry bits and cherry smell overpower the "green" part of the tea quite a bit, so if you love cherries, this tea is for you. Otherwise, forget it.

Wow! I bought this tea just for the name and the smell after visiting the store. It's not too sweet, even though it smells like it might be, nor is it sour, as some cherry-type teas can be. Steeps quickly, so you can enjoy it quickly. I think it is greatly enhanced by a few stirs with the Rock Sugar Sticks. (One stick will go a long way, too.) I like this tea anytime, but especially as an after dinner/relaxing tea, and I like eating chocolate with it. The flavors mix nicely.

This tea smells and tastes like cough syrup. As I have a strong aversion to artificially cherry flavored items, I could not stomach it and threw it all away. I know that it has real bits of cherry in it, but it tastes 100% artificial. If you happen to like that artificial cherry taste, look no further, here's your tea, but this is not for me.

It's a wonderfully light tea. I don't think it smells like cough syrup. Make sure you soak it for the right amount of time, but it is a wonderful, light and sweet tea!

I bought this 3 days ago and i have already brewed 6 tea pots. My mother loves it i do too. And a friend of mine who isn't to big into tea drinking loves it also. I also used very little and reused the leaves and got 3 pots out of one tablespoon. I read the other reviews and they say it tastes like cough syrup but mine doesn't at all. I also over steeped it and it still was soft.

I love the aroma of this tea when I open the tin. I'll admit that I sometimes do this even when I'm not brewing it. I can drink a whole pot of it myself while I am working late at night, but anything I don't drink gets consumed by someone in the house the next morning.
As with any green tea, follow the time and temperature directions carefully, or the brew will be bitter.
If plain sencha is too grassy for you (as it is for my wife), this is a great way to get green tea into your routine.

This was the first tea I ever tried from Teavana. My boyfriend likes fruity teas, and I like green teas, so I ordered this tea recently hoping it would be something we would both enjoy. We do! It is quite tasty and lightly sweet, with perhaps just a bit of tartness - very like a cherry.

Right out of the bag, I would agree that the tea does smell a bit like cherry cough syrup, or what initially came to my mind, one of those saccharine-sweet Cherry-Flavored icees. But when brewed, I found the tea to be more green than fruity and very pleasant. It only needs to be steeped for a minute - like many green teas, it requires a bit of a light touch. It's worth it. I enjoy this tea very much and will likely order it again.

I don't like to put sugar in my tea, so it was surprising how sweet this was. If you don't like the smell of the tea leaves (if you're going to the store), you shouldn't try it because I found that the tea tends to stay true to that initial whiff. It's not too bitter or too strong in my opinion. It's one of my favorite teas.
