It has a beautiful color, a full body and can be brewed a few minutes longer than recommended without turning bitter, for all those out there who are proud to admit they forget about the tea brewing in the other room. This tea is wonderful for fanatics and for those who think they don't like tea. It has such full flavor that it will win over anyone who likes dessert!

I've tried other Teavana chai's and truly enjoyed them, however, this blend is very bitter. Definately not one of my favorites. I didn't enjoy this tea at all, I probably should have tried a sample before purchasing a large quantity. Live and learn.

I'm a fan of almost any brand of Masala chai, but the smell and taste of ginger in this one is too pronounced for me. In fact, that's basically all I taste. The other spices don't come through at all. However, if you really love ginger, then I guess this would be perfect.

This blend is disappointing overall. I found 3 mins. of brewing to make the tea bitter, but 2 to 2.5 mins. works well. I was able to reuse the leaves once to achieve the same flavor. I've traveled extensively in India and the Asian sub-continent and truly enjoy chai masalas. This blend, however, lacks enough spice (particularly cardamon) to make it taste authentic. I found the color unappetizing and washed-out after adding milk. On the positive side, the aroma was lovely ... just needs a bit more spice.

Wow, I couldn't drink this one at all. I like the Samurai Chai Mate and the White Ayurvedic Chai, so I thought I'd try another chai tea, but whoa, this one was the wrong choice for me. It was overwhelmingly ginger-tasting.... I guess that would be good if you really liked ginger, but until I tasted this particular chai, I didn't realize that I don't care for it to be the primary flavor. I couldn't even taste the tea, it was so strong. It made a dark rich looking tea that I so wanted to like, but didn't.

i love this tea, its on my "must have" list. i reordered two packages this time, so i can have plenty on hand for daily use. its really flavorful, afforable and makes a lovely chai latte with cream and rock sugar. ADORE IT!

The vanilla adds a twist on the traditional chai masala blend. On its own, this tea could definitely be a little stronger to mimic real Indian chai. However, if you go to your local Indian grocery you can buy chai spice in a jar... just add a pinch to your cup and see a world of difference. It IS a very good base though. The other chai blends stray a little too far away from what I prefer in a masala blend.

This tea is great all day long. When the water is heated to the proper temperature, the tea is easily steeped in a few minutes without getting bitter. I can easily get two pots of tea with only 3 tsp in the Perfect Tea Maker. Add honey and a splash of milk, and I'm in 7th heaven with this tea!

This tea is our favorite Teavana tea by far. It is a great combination of earthy flavors, great black tea and spicy ginger. The spice is what makes this tea wonderful- it tastes like someone grew a cinammon bun in their garden- a brilliant mix of sweet and low key earthen tones. It smells terrific also. One thing about this tea is that I usually put a teaspoon and a half instead of the one recommended by Teavana- I think you get a much richer, more well rounded tea.

I bought this tea after trying a commercial Chai product. After working through the best steeping time for me, 2:30 seems best because the tea gets bitter esp at 3:00. I would suggest possibly a little more spice however it has a good smooth taste esp with milk and honey. I would recommend this to others and actually have a tea date planned with a peer to have them taste this one.

My Indian sister in law used to make us their traditional family chai recipe with mortar and pestle. This is the closest to that I've ever tasted! Not overly sweet like most chai blends.

While the tea itself is smooth and of good quality, I would hesitate to call it a Chai. Often Chai tea in the west is just tea with a hint of spice. I was hoping that Teavanna would live up to their usual level of excellence and not fall into the westernized bland Chai trap. Unfortunately, I found myself dissappointed once again. The tea is smooth and flavorful but it lacks the oomph that authentic Chai has. More spice, please! And to you naysayers who think the spice is just right, my Indian coworker was also quite dissappointed in this tea.

I just purchased this tea and I really like it! No, it's not perfectly authentic but it still tastes great! It reminds me of the time I was in Kenya and drank Chai tea every day. I brew in in milk and it is delicious!

I am a huge Chai fan; however, I'm a picky Chai drinker, too. I really enjoy this Chai. They didn't overdo it on the spices (very subtle), and the tea is perfect. It's great on it's own, but I really like it as a Chai latte, too. Like most of their products, it tastes best with the rock sugar.

It might not be perfectly authentic, but I am really fond of this tea. It is quite strong, which I like, and a good price. I think the blend of spices is pretty good although I like to let it steep a bit longer than is recommended and I add a little bit of honey for sweetness.

Very strong tea, I don't think it's drinkable by itself. However, a spoonfull or two of sweetened condensed milk mixed in makes this one of the best desert teas I have ever had.

This would have to be the second best chai I've ever tasted. It's near perfect, needing only a little more body. The cardamom is very present, but that's what I like about it.

Not impressed at all. This is an Americanized version of masala chai. Several essential spices are missing and I don't know what's up with the 'vanilla flavoring' in this tea, but it's terrible and out of place in a cup of masala chai. I won't be buying this ever again and suggest if you want a TRUE masala chai you skip it as well. The description may tout this as an authentic masala chia, but it is most certainly not authentic by any stretch of the imagination.

I LOVE this tea. I am a huge fan of chai teas and I find that this is my all time favorite. I love to mix this tea with just a splash of fat-free vanilla coffeemate to make a vanilla chai latte but it's also delicious all by itself. it is a very strong taste so if you don't like strong teas this may not be for you, otherwise, it's a must have!

I bought a pound of this tea at teavana a while back because i found the price very reasonable, when i brewed a cup into a latte i found the cardamom to be quite overpowering, but i found it was perfect by adding some clove and a bit more cinnamon.

My is this a strong chai! It's great, but the scent will certainly take over your cabinet, which is great if you are not storing other teas there! If you have had boxed chai tea, and you have not tried this particular loose leaf, you will be suprised at how much stronger the flavor is. A great tea when you are not looking for something subtle and comforting. It's a great pick me up!

I just tried this Masala Chai and the Coconut Aloha and I LOVB IT!!!!! I like it 1:1 but you can easily adjust to your liking. Great with sugar (I like turbinado) and a splash of milk (I like soy or skim). And, it is awesome iced! Sorta like a funky Chai or a spicy Thai Tea. Hmmm...I think I'll try Thai Tea plus Masala Chai next! Experiment - it's fun!

Although I've been into traditional black tea and flavored black teas for years, I had never brewed a chai before today. I found this chai very full-bodied and flavorful. It was soothing for a rainy day and was a nice pick me up.

I wasn't too sure about black teas, because it's the one realm of tea I've never ventured in to, but I loved the rest of the Teavana tea I had gotten, so I decided to give this a whirl to replace the boxed chai latte concentrate that I love so much. I've found, to my surprise, that I love this tea just by itself! No latte necessary. It smells spicy, warm, and just a touch sweet, and it delivers exactly that in the cup. I tried it initially with a little bit of milk and honey, and wasn't as thrilled as I wanted to be, so I tried it plain and fell in love. Definitely one of my favorites!

This is a lovely, very mild chai. It really feels good to drink it, and it's wonderful any time of day. It's a great pick me up in the morning with it's fragrant aroma, and at the same time can be very relaxing at night. It's refreshing to receive a chai that you can actually distinguish the spices in just by looking at it. You can see the cardamom pods.

It is delicious plain, or good as a latte as well.

I sometimes surf this site looking for a new tea tested by my peers. I'm sometimes disappointed, but this is NOT one of those times!

I read about the mix w milk to make a chai latte and was skeptical. I never, ever add milk or honey to my teas, as I like them without frills.

HOWEVER, this time I'm glad I did! The tea didn't smell especially appealing in store this afternoon, but the price was low enough to take a chance...YUM!!!

I brewed a cup and added about 6 tablespoons of 2% milk and a Splenda packet...PERFECTION!

Since I put just a bit of milk, it cooled down the tea immediately perfect temp to drink, added a smooth, filling quality but turned my tea into the perfect chai latte.

I've had 7 cups today alone and this is now one of my favorite teas!

I was introduced to teas with a powder chai late'. I fell in love with it and now can longer locate it. I happened upon Teavana in search of my beloved powdered chai late' and found this one. I want the late' fee, smooth rich texture and flavor so I add the cane sugar or honey with vanilla soy milk. Its very relaxing and enjoyable and use as desert tea.

I quit drinking coffee a few months ago, and was having a hard time of it. I bought this tea and brought it with me to the office, and never looked back. My favorite way to drink is about 3/4 tea and 1/4 skim milk, sweetened with just a little honey (sugar is too overpowering). It is by far the BEST tea I've had from Teavana.

I never liked coffee or tea, but we swung by Teavana one day and my husband thought I might like this as a latte. He was right. I put 10 ounces of skim milk in a microwavable cup, then sprinkle the tea until it covers the top. I microwave it for 2 minutes. Let it sit, then strain into another cup. Mix in one sweet n low for extra sweetness... and I have mega energy for hours!!! (which is helpful with 2 babies)

i make myself a 16oz coffee mug to go every morning. it tastes great hot, and if i get busy, doesn't lose anything at room temperature. i also mix it with the Mate Vana for something a bit more luxurious tasting. i would highly recommend it.

I love this tea! I drink this tea mixed with the Roobios Chai tea. For 2 cups of tea I use 2 teaspoons Roobios and 1 teaspoon Masala. I use 1 1/2 cups of hot water and a 1/2 cup heated soymilk. In 6 minutes, Delicious!!!
