I've been drinking earl grey for years - took me 6 tries to find the right brand of bags with the flavor i liked (tazo). I was purchasing some of the straight Earl Grey, so the salesgirl suggested the Creme version.. I made a face at her.. but she told me to try.. and am I glad I did! I have NEVER added anything to any type of tea, so I was certain I would not like this .. but it was wonderful! I brew mine a little stronger, and the vanilla mellowed it out perfectly! I prefer this for the "end of stress time" cup, and still drink the regular earl grey for that first "wake me up now!" cup. I LOVE this tea!

This tea is amazing. I've always been a huge fan of Earl Grey Tea and after reading the other reviews for this tea I decided to give it a try. Wow. The aroma is amazing, the creamy undertones compliment the tea perfectly and make my usual addition of milk completely unneccessary. I love this tea hot in the morning with no additional cream or sugar, and iced in the afternoon with a splash of vanilla soy milk to thicken it up a little. The price is incredibly reasonable for such a quality tea, I can fill my 8 oz tin for the price of 2 oz of the higher end imperial teas. Love it.

This tea was part of an order I just received yesterday. While the tea wasn't exactly what I expected, I was still very impressed. The aroma is warm and sweet and it tastes just like it smells. I tried it first with just sugar, but found there was a tannic tinge to the tea that was off-putting for me (I tend to shy away from bitter and tannic flavors), but it was very slight, so I added just a small dollop of half-and-half to the tea. It was just right then. There was still a bitterness to it, but that might have been an error on my part either in the temperature or brewing time. I might have gone a little over the time limit. I'll try it again, being more careful about the steeping time, but I really enjoyed this. It would make a great dessert tea in my opinion.

When I opened the bag i was hit by the fragrance. After making one cup the whole house was full of it. Unfortunately the positives stop here. The taste is nothing special. The added aromas don't blend well with the tea and maybe make it feel a little weak for a black tea. I really did not like the oils - it made me feel that I am drinking the medication that I should have rubbed on my chest. Interesting idea but not what I'm looinkg for in a tea.

I have always been a fence-sitter with black tea. I can take it or leave it, and if someone offered a choice other than black tea I would normally choose other. Black tea has always seemed a bit strong and bitter for me, and I usually add milk and sugar, unless I really need a jolt. This tea, though, is very smooth and has a beautiful, creamy and ever-so-light floral aroma that makes it unique and addictive! I don't want to add anything to it, as its flavor is perfect, even unsweetened! For me, that is saying a LOT about a black tea! I've never been an Earl Grey fan. But, after reading the other reviews and seeing how affordable this tea was, I had to try it! This one did not disappoint! Absolutely delicious and refreshing. The "Creme" flavor balances out the bergamot and takes out the sour "sting" I normally encounter with Earl Greys. I sweeten almost all my teas, including this one. While die-hard Earl Grey enthusiasts may not like this tea - it is not the pure "black tea" taste many equate with Earl Greys - I loved it for that exact reason. I thought it was the best of both worlds. It has a wonderful smooth finish that tastes like true cream (without ruining your tea with actual milk!) It also adds a nice sweetness to the tea to make it more palate-able for those new to black teas (vs the herbal mixes and fruity flavors often touted as tea).

If you want traditional Earl Grey (which I do love as well), you may want to think twice because of this unique flavor. But if you want smooth, delightful black tea that envokes relaxing emotions simultaneously with your caffeine jolt, I recommend this one!

I'm a big fan of herbal teas, Matevana being one of my absolute favorites. I buy the stuff by the pound. This tea is making me convert to a simpler flavor. This Earl Grey Creme was smooth, had a full body, and had a sweet flavor even without sweetening. This tea smells so wonderful. The bergamot and vanilla pair so well together to create a smooth tea. For my blend, I used 2 tsp of the leaves with 16oz of hot water and steeped it with about 1 tsp of rock sugar for 3.5 min. The flavor, although delicious, was not as strong as I would have liked it. The second steeping at 5 minutes was too light in color.

Earl Grey is one of my favorite teas so this was a must try! While I expected (and would have liked) a stronger creme/vanilla taste, this is a great alternative to a traditional Earl Grey. You can taste that it is a high quality tea, and it tastes mostly of Earl Grey with just a touch of creme. Although the directions say to steep for 2-3 minutes, after 3 minutes its way too light in color, and weak. I steep it for about 4 minutes the first infusion and 5 for the second. With the second infusion, the flavor is much less bold but still good.

Before trying the Earl Grey Creme, I had thought Earl Grey was supposed to be strong, dark...and not to my taste :( This version of the popular tea though, the flavor is soft, smooth and super drinkable for me! I love Earl Grey now~

This Earl Grey is a nice blend. The aroma before steeping is wonderful with the light smell of bergamot. This tea while being a black tea, is very smooth and not bitter. The bergamot adds a nice aftertaste and is very soothing. I can actually get two infusions from the tea. The first at 2.5 min and the second at 3.5 min with 1tsp per 8oz.

I ordered this tea from the website without further knowledge of what the taste would be. When I opened it up, the smell was not too pleasant. It smelled like perfume. This is one of my delicacy teas, and for its price it is one that will forever be on my list. I don't recommend drinking this tea a lot, even though you may want to at first. Remember, Teavana containers keep tea fresh for a year, and you want to save this tea for the rare occasion of spoiling yourself with the taste of white chocolate. Also, a wonderful tea with a PB&J. This tea jumped out at me at the store because of the beautiful aroma and I couldn't help popping the tin on the ride home again and again because the smell was so intoxicating. Unfortunately, I believe the added flavors impact the overall flavor of the tea in a negative way in that they dominate the flavor of the tea itself and I personally felt like I was drinking potpurri. I prefer my tea with no milk, sweetener or lemon no matter which type I drink. If you add sweetener or milk, I think this tea might work very well for you, but it is not the ideal tea for the purist. I can't say I would not recommend it as I see why so many people swear by it, but I won't be purchasing this one again. I will stock to regular Earl Grey and Irish Breakfast (please bring it back to the stores!!!).

If you think you have had a good Earl Grey, think again. This tea is the real deal. It will top any Earl Grey out of any super market. It is an extreamly mellow tea with a great fragrance. It does (like most black teas) require attention when brewing. If you make it in a pot, take the infuser out when the pot is brewed!You dont want to waste this liquid gold.

I was always an Earl Grey drinker so when I wanted to try higher end loose tea the sales girl told me about Earl Grey Creme. If I could go back and hug her I would. This is the perfect example of what a good cup of tea should be. It has an inviting aroma, soothing feel and bold but not offensive or strong taste. The vanilla adds a bit of smoothness without having to add milk or cream.

Normaly I drink my loose tea at home and settle for higher end bags at work. After inviting my co worker over one evening and sharing this tea with her, she purchased perfect tea makers for each of us for the office - it's that good.

Sharp taste at the sip, but smooth cream like after taste. I use 1 tsp of German Rock Cane Sugar to sweeten the taste a little. I let mine brew for 6 ½ minutes. I like it a little stronger. Over all a good tea. I would buy it again.

I drink different teas for different reasons. This tea is the only tea "staple" that I have. I drink at least a cup a day. I've always loved Earl Grey, but this blend is absolutely perfect. Just enough sweetness so that you don't need to add sweetener. Just enough of the traditional earl grey flavor without being overwhelming. You could add honey or creamer for it to be a dessert type tea or just drink it alone. iced or hot, this blend is perfect. i LOVE this tea.

I'm a big fan of Earl Grey, so I was interested in trying this creme version. This tea has an unusual yet familiar aroma that it took me a while to put my finger on - it smells very like birch beer soda. Both the scent and the taste are very relaxing without being soporific. The flavor is hard to describe - a bit vanilla, a bit citrus, naturally sweet. This tea is rather smooth and does not have much of the sharpness present in many other black teas. I drink it straight up, both hot and cold.

My only disappointment with this tea was with the subtlety of the bergamot flavor, which is purely a personal preference - I like lots of bergamot in my Earl Grey! For this reason I consider this to be a great tea in general but not my preferred Earl Grey blend.

It is an average earl grey with creme. I added vanilla extract to a small amount for added flavor and was pleased with the results, but the acidity was still present, just less noticeable.

I didn't really care for this tea by itself, so I started to blend teas to see if I could find something that I like. I found a great blend to finish up what I have, but I am not sure that I will be purchasing this again. The blend was: 1 earl gray creme, .5 toffe rooibos, .5 almond biscotti, and 1 blueberry bliss. I am not sure what I am doing wrong here with this tea, but I really don't care for it. Every drink that I take I get a different kind of taste - some I like, some I don't care for. I use this tea in my iced tea maker, blending it with 3 parts rooibos tropica tea & 1 part this tea. It adds just the right amount of creaminess without making the iced tea too muted. It blends well w/most teas from Teavana.

This tea came across as extremely strong when I first brewed it. I've since added a bit of sugar and a splash of milk, and I cannot get enough of it. It leaves a nice "perfumed" aftertaste and became very smooth with the use of some milk (whole or soy). Worth a try!! (or three or four)
