This is the first tea ever I actually purchased at Teavanna. At the checkout, the cashier said how it was a bad quality black tea. So, I was kind of nervouse. However, when I brought it home and brewed it. I noticed an aroma that set the aptmosphere of my kitchen to a very smooth and relaxing feeling. After it had brewed (I recommend 5 minets) I tasted it. I laughed and said to myself,"If this is bad quality tea, then the good tea must taste like heaven." For the rest of the day I was filled with great enegry and a good mindset to take on some of the toughest challanges (traffic, mean people, and slow internet). I would not recommend this in the evening though due to the fact that it will keep you up.

The perfect morning drink for a non-coffee drinker. Has a full and smooth body. It leaves a pleasant and rather complex flavor (I'm not good at describing it). I did not find it too bitter when I oversteep it though I may be more tolerant than others since I don't sweeten teas.
I started to sample other flavored teas and I am already missing it.

I find that this English breakfast doesn't have quite the flavor that most black teas have, although with a bit of rock sugar it does taste a bit better (and a rarely add sugar to tea). It does have a decent kick to it, and is good for when you just want to have a cup quickly and don't care too much about it's taste, but if you are sitting down and enjoying your tea, I would choose a different one.

If you are going to do a basic black tea such as English Breakfast...then do it up right and switch to loose leaf. At this price, you can't go wrong! There is such a difference between bagged English Breakfast and Teavana's loose leaf version. Most tea in teabags is simply tea dust. This is the real deal! It is very high quality and tastes great...It's a bold black tea that can handle cream and sugar without losing it's flavor.

For a breakfast tea, although it fits the bill, it doesn't have the same pop as Irish Breakfast. This tea is like the "shake-n-bake" of black teas. It sustains life, but there is nothing special about it.

This is the tea I drink all the time. My taste is a strong and black tea that your spoon can stand up in. I use 1-1.5 tsp per cup an steep for 7 minutes. I also add 1/2 lemon to the boiling water right before I add the tea and its perfect. I like both coffee and tea, but when I am in the mood for tea this is my favorite. Also, if you didn't want coffee one morning, I think this would be a suitable replacement to it. The cons are that, for me at times it can seem on the weak side for me. But I add more tea and like it strong, so for the majority of people its very middle of the road. I LOVE THIS TEA!!

I have been drinking loose leaf tea for probably 30 years or so and I love this stuff! I have to buy at least a pound at a time as I drink it every morning and I make it strong. Great price point, too. As others have said, try the German rock sugar in it. Despite the name, it's not just for breakfast! Drink it any time.

This has got to be one of the most superb teas I have ever tried, and it is so inexpensive! I like my tea REALLY strong (must be the European in me...), and this is probably the best robust tea I've found. Be sure not to steep it for longer than 3 minutes, as it can get slightly bitter. I also recommend adding a small scoop of the German rock sugar to make the tea's flavor come out even more. Also, being a college student myself, this tea gets me going in the morning before class and it doesn't kill my wallet.

Like other reviewers state, steeping it too long makes it quite bitter. But when you do the right amount of time, this tea rocks! Been toying with loose leaf teas for awhile and only really able to get Twinnings in my area. This English Breakfast tea is certainly better than theirs. Bought this at my local store in Cherry Hill, NJ and just the aroma when waved in my face by the sales girl was enough to make me just want to hand over my wallet. A little pricey at TWICE what I would pay for a comparable Twinnings offering, but certainly a good cup of tea.

2 tsp in my small Chatsford teapot and a few of the rock sugar crystals. Brew 3 minutes and add a splash of milk...yummy. Reminds me of coffee only healthier. My favorite way to begin my day. Good for multiple infusions.

I'm a Black Tea, with milk and sweetener kind of guy. I have tried several Teavana Blacks and enjoyed them all, but this one is the best overall value.Once you try loose teas, you will be hooked.

This is a great morning tea. The tea can become bitter if brewed over 4-5 minutes, but that can be cured with a drop or two of milk. I do not like this as iced tea because of the bitterness and mouth feel when it is cold.

I was a fan of PickWick English Breakfast teas until Teavana English Breakfast came into my life. I can't get enough of this stuff and I most certainly will not go back to the bagged stuff.

Great tea, i prefer it as an iced tea, i found that to make a nice iced you should not steep it very long, 1:30-1:45 or else it will start to get bitter and tannic. great tea

I love this tea for an early morning keep-me-up in class or a late night keep-me-up for studying. Wonderful aroma, I'd recommend coffee fans try this tea. Also good with a bit of milk, for those who like to add it.

This tea will spoil you rotten. I have to take it with me in a thermos when I go to breakfast meetings because all tea-bag teas are flavorless once you have tried Teavana English Breakfast tea.

I felt silly buying a tea that I have bought from a box for soooo many years but the reward was well worth it. I believe that the taste of this tea far rivals anything from a bag and I used to be a firm believer in the English Breakfast in a bag. It is well worth the money. Definitely not more expensive. Give this one a try!
