I wanted this tea the moment I saw it. I waited for the perfect day for the iced tea I planned on. I grew up on my grandfather's iced tea and I wanted to make something that was more my personal touch and I think I almost got it with this. My first brew came out a tad weak because I didn't keep my proportion of leaf to water just right yet. I had a warm cup as I added the tea to ice in the pitcher and it was sweet and silvery in a good way if that makes any sense. It was like ringing my bell I suppose. The tea cold is still just as good and really makes a refreshing day so long as you make it a bit on the stronger side and throw in some sweetener and a splash of lemon juice to brighten it up if that's more your way to go. It makes me feel good on a really warm and muggy day like today during this heat wave to still have my teas and not feel like I'm melting. Very bright and lively tea if ya get it right. Not too hard to get it right either so long as you take the time to really tune it to it.

This is my favorite of all the Teavana teas that I have bought (8). A very flavorful tea that is not overwhelmed with the citrus. A nice kick. too.
I sometimes mix it with blueberry bliss.

I love this tea and can't go a day without having some, which is why I was sad when they topped carrying it in the store by my house. But, this tea is a great pick me up in the morning, afternoon, or evening. It definitely gives a great boost of energy without the crash or jitters from other types of drinks such as coffee. The taste of spices is in perfect balance with a hint of citrus. It's also very refreshing!

For the price this is a great tea. I use my coffee maker to brew multiple pots often making my own blends. The Lemongrass Mate offers a warm citrus with a hint of spice. Blends well with chamomile or peppermint to lighten the pep. Not particularly good for multiple brews as it weakens considerably by the 3rd pot. But, for the price its a trade-off I can deal with.

I love lemon in my tea, so i thought i would just cut out the middle man. Its a good everyday tea, weak flavor if not made right. sometimes i still need to add lemon for a stronger flavor. I like to blend with an Wild Sweet Orange by Tazo. Overall I like this Mate. Im not sure i can feel the caffine effects either. Still a decent tea for the price!

I love this tea in summer, when the richer flavors of the mate vana feel heavy. The lemony flavor is invigorating and refreshing when it's 90+ outside. It's especially good in blends with citrusy herbal or rooibos teas.

I was very satisfied with this purchase. When I first bought it, I had never tasted any type of mate before, but I really wanted to try it for the energizing and health benefits. I was definately impressed! It wakes me up perfectly to the day and has an amazing citrusy flavor and aroma. I add just a little agave nectar to my cup and it just tops it off to add just a little sweetness for me. I have and will continue to purchase this product over and over.

I was slightly disappointed with this tea as compared to it's peers here, but it's an overall good tea. Compared to the other Mate teas here, I would rate this one 4th of four. The lemon flavor is sharp, and the lasting flavor is not as smooth as others. I've tried this tea alone and mixed with several other teas and I have yet to find a good blend for it.

To me, this tea is really hit or miss. It either comes out great, or ends up tasting like grass. Does the trick in the morning though, and I usually end up blending it with something.

I love this Mate! I have a friend from Argentina, so I am a Mate enthusiast. I do not recommend drinking before bed (soothing as it is) because it contains a substance (the name escapes me) that has similar effects to caffeine, though it is not caffeine exactly. I drink this tea after my classes are done for the day to put just enough pep in my step to get my homework done.

This tea is a staple in my collection, I mix it in to almost every morning pot of tea I drink. I don't enjoy it on it's own though, the flavor is just not for me, but mixed in with any other tea it adds a wonderful subtle touch of lemon while boosting the tea in to a coffee substitute.

I drink this tea every morning! I'm a college student working my way through school, so I don't usually get enough sleep, but this helps to keep me awake during all those snooze-inducing lectures. It's a little light on flavor, but in a nice way. It's easy to drink early in the morning. I also find the smell really appealing, and I always pause to take a good whiff whenever I open the tin. I've gone through almost 6 ounces of this in less than 3 months, so I think it's almost reorder time!

This is one of the most satisfying, soothing, and invigorating teas I've had ever...over the last year, has become a favorite as a pick me up or an awesome alternate to coffee to start day. Fantastic flavor, I don't think it needs anything, although if you are in a sweet mood, honey does compliment the lemongrass flavor.

I'm not usually a flavored tea drinker, but found this mate' quite pleasant. Sharp citrus top notes, but with a well rounded, mouth filling vegetal body. Others' problem with bitter aftertaste may be due to over brewing- I didn't experience that.

I love this choice but have to agree with some people in it does need a little something extra to sweeten. I usually put just a dab of honey in mine and it becomes amazing! Also I have noticed the longer I let it steep (10 minutes) the better the lemon flavor gets.

I love mate. This combination is refreshing. I prefer organic teas. The only downfall of this tea is that it does not come in organic form.

I bought this tea because I needed something caffeinated, but wasn't terribly fond of the Mate Vana, figuring I'd like a lighter flavor better.

To put it bluntly, by itself, it tastes like hay.

I found it much more tolerable when mixed with a fruitier tea like Caribbean Breeze.

Depending on your own personal tastes, I think this is just one of those teas that you really need to blend with something else if you want it for the caffeine.

well out of the 3 teas i purchased online i would say this is the best. (this / moroccan mint / 9 treasures)

the reason i don't care for this tea is because of its smell. it gives me a head ache.

it does have a good & different taste. but it does seem to give a sum-what bitter taste right after i take a drink.

it is a bit to strong for me too. maybe i am just not a lemon grass person.

This mate is wonderful when steeped correctly. I haven't experienced any bitterness while sipping the it. It's a very strong lemony flavor, and I'm surprised that I like it as I don't normally enjoy lemon tasting teas. It's very smooth and not at all bitter!

A little disappointed in this tea which was a surprise. I've tried different steeping times, used ice to cool water, but still bothers my stomach. I enjoy making a full tea pot while sipping my tea, and I cannot do that with this.

It's also good when mixed with other flavors-I've mixed with peppermint, and/or roobios tropica. Adding a touch of rock cane sugar is also tastey.
