High quality and refinement. Been searching for a good tetsubin for years. And finally saw this one in Old Orchard Teavana store. This Tatara Orbits teapot is a work of art like a museum piece compared to the numerous ones on display. The texture is like natural stone which has ripples like dropping a stone on water, I have the tan color. It is highly refined in craftsmanship and worthy of display in one's home and for daily use in drinking tea. The strainer almost reaches down to the teapot's base enabling you to make tea for one or up to 6 generous servings. I highly recommend this Tatara teapot for gift giving or for personal use.

Received this unexpectedly as a gift. After finding out how it came to be and why it was one-of-a-kind...I made sure and USED it. I'm drinking and enjoying the benefits of soothing teas now that this pot brews and cleans so well. Condensation builds up on the inside of the lid, so remove it when pouring if you want to keep the outside of your pot dry. I use the cast iron warmer and this set-up is perfect. This is the only way to keep me up...coffee's caffeine is just too harsh and short-lived. The quality of the handle and the enamel inside of the pot make this a life long keeper. Did I mention the design provides such an eclectic atmosphere in your kitchen?! If tea wasn't such an amazing thing for so many reasons, I could see why spending on THIS would be a splurge. Fact is, tea has so many health and energy benefits...why not drink it in style?

No wonder that he won so many awards! I already have two of his small pots for personal use and they are gems. I needed a large pot but I told myself not to spend the money. As usual they have many beautiful pots in the store but this one is definitely the best. So I could not resist. Well balanced you can get the last drop out without losing the lid. Using the warmer the tea stayed warm for 6 hours! As his others the spout leaves no drips.
