Received as a birthday present - a complete surprise and not something I would ever have considered for myself - now I'm thinking of beginning a collection!
Holds enough for two mugs, and brewed tea keeps well in it, even through to another day. Its weight is well-balanced, the construction is top-notch, and I love the sense of history and beauty that it conveys. It elevates tea-drinking to a lovely ritual, from brewing to pouring.
The comforting heft and well-crafted charm of this sturdy, attractive, and utilitarian teapot makes me feel happy every time I use it - which is every day! Guess that means it was the perfect present!

I walked into Teavana after losing a mediocre teapot about 6 months before. I was sick of bagged tea (once you do loose leaf you never want to go back) and I wanted a more durable teapot because I am definitely prone to dropping things. I am also a frequent tea drinker and I unfortunately do occasionally make a pot, drink half, and leave the rest in the pot for a day or so. The AMAZING staff at Teavana helped me pick this teapot; it was durable, resistant to rusting, and still pretty! I decided to go for this 19oz model because it makes the perfect amount for me to fill a 20oz travel mug, or to make two cups with a friend. I've left it as long as 4 days without dumping old tea and there have been no rusting issues. I have also dropped it several times and it is still perfect! It was worth every penny that I spent and if I ever buy a teapot for a friend, this will be it.
