I recently switched from coffee to tea every morning for health reasons and stumbled upon this after finding out that my former favorite cranberry tea was being discontinued. I was very skeptical at first, but... WOW. Words can't describe how much I love this. I'm not a big fan of green tea because of how bitter it is, but this tea tastes more like warmed fruit juice. It makes the entire room smell wonderful when I open the canister, and you can steep each serving twice in my experience. It tastes nice when it cools down, too, where many teas I've tried tend to lose a lot of flavor.

I would suggest a little bit of sweetener if sour isn't your thing, but I don't personally find it a problem.

This tea is one of my better teas. I recently bought a tin of it and I usually have mine with a bit of honey which compliments the sourness of the tea. I drink it in the morning and it does a great job at keeping me awake for my first classes of the day!

Since Teavana opened a month ago, I've been slowly working my way through the teas that sounded interesting to me. I went in to get the Thai Tea Blend and, of course, also walked out with Sour Cherry. I had initially been looking at the Raspberry Lemon tea but it smelled too sweet to me. Instead, I chose the Sour Cherry. Sour Cherry tastes almost exactly like it smells. I have always been a huge fan of sour candy and Sour Cherry is very much on par with a lot of the more tart favorites of mine (something like that sour candy spray, almost). I prefer it with no sugar and it drinks like a sour fruit juice. The cherry is very very clear, as is the lemony citrus. It is not weak in flavor--instead, it's very strong and very bold. It is not sweet at all and I LOVE that about it. While it is tart, it is not bitter. I've been drinking it nonstop all day today. The only cons of the tea is that it can be overwhelming and too tart when brewed hot. I prefer it iced and definitely recommend it as such. The woman at my store initially scooped a little tea out, told me to put out my hand, and then put the tea in my opened palm and demanded "Eat it!" I looked at her in complete confusion but gave in--and I've been guilty of eating the fruity bits since. Definite favorite.

This tea is so sour, I had to add a lot of sweetner. I would not purchase again. It smells great, but it doesn't taste good at all.

I am a sour nut! I am the type of person who can eat lemons and not winch. So when I was low on a budget and wanted to drink some tea, this was perfect for me. The aroma is amazing and has the perfect sour taste (without being extremely overpowering and sometimes sour can be). I have only tried it hot but you best believe I will try it cold once summer comes around!

This is one of my new favorite teas! I've had cherry teas before that taste medicinal, but this one hits it on the mark. It's slightly sour but finishes off with a sweet note. Sometimes I add a little rock sugar, but also drink it as is depending on my mood. It's a great soothing tea if you have a sore throat or just having a bad day, somehow the flavors just make me feel better :)

I tried this tea on a whim, and I am beyond pleased. This tea is very flavorful, delicious, and has an amazing body to it. I am not normally a black tea fan, but this one has won me over, and I think it will be a staple in my home for a while :)

After searching for the yummiest black tea in my local Teavana store, I stumbled upon this wonderful tea. Once I took that first sip you get a burst of delicious flavor of safflower and orange. In the end, I had this absolute sour cherry sensation. I highly recommend this tea.

I tried this tea as an alternative to the disappointingly-discontinued cranberry black tea, and I am so happy with the recommendation! This tea is wonderful! I love the sweet and sour from the cherries and lemons, and it gives a lot of flavor dimension. I make it kinda strong: 2 teaspoons of tea + 1 tsp cane sugar to my 16oz Perfect Tea Maker.

This has been my favorite tea over ice for the summer. But it's a great hot tea too. My family adds sugar and say it's a yummy sweet and sour fruity tea. I don't think it even needs sugar. This is my favorite Teavana selection. It's a beautiful black tea.

I've recently purchased a lot of teas and I'm impressed with this one in particular. It may be a little sour, but I don't mind it. It's light and fresh and once I add some sugar to this I'm sure it'll taste like cherry pie. I'm really looking forward to that.

I love the sour cherry flavor, but yes, I do add a packet of Sweet N Low. I always drank tea as weak as possible until I discovered Teavana and this particular tea. Now, I steep it for 4-5 minutes and love it. In fact, after tasting it I was going out of town and I bought 2 pounds to take with me. A lot of tea, but we all love it and didn't want to be without it.

I think this product is worth buying to mix with black tea. You can tell that it's a high quality tea from just opening the bag- the ingredients are beautiful to look at and smell. However, for me, it just didn't have enough tea taste- it tasted more like an herbal tea, something I didn't expect since it contains both green and black tea. I'm going to try mixing it with more black tea, as another reviewer recommended.

I just received this tea today. Once I opened the bag I was in love. The smell is very pleasing, if you love cherries you will love this. The flavor is a little mild but you still receive the cherry flavor you expect.

My, oh, my! This was the first tea I tasted with Teavana and I must say, it has changed my perception and taste for tea forever. Sour Cherry Serenade has such a beautiful light red color, FRESH cherry scent and crisp/clean taste that it truly defies what some people may have previously thought about tea! I have always used tea bags in the past but I will never go back! I gave this particular tea to my parents and they were amazed! If you like a sweet and high quality fruit flavor, then this tea will knock you off your socks!

If the cherry is too much for your palette, try mixing a little in with a regular black such as english breakfast. My favorite mix is to use english breakfast with a little sweet cranberry black, it makes a great refreshing tea.

I really like sour cherry juice, so I did like this tea and found it very good hot. It would probably be a great summer iced tea. If you associate cherry flavor with cough drops, you might not go for it. Sometimes the cherry was a little strong, but I still liked it a lot.

My husband and I are long-time Teavana fans and we couldn't get enough of this tea. Brews bright and fruity, no need to add any sugar. Able to re-brew the tea with continued good flavor. Great anytime tea, and can even stand in as a dessert.

I got this one because I like cherry. I had a couple cups of it and had a thought that it would taste great with cinnamon. I mixed it with the White Ayurvedic Chai Tea. Oh my gosh... it was wonderful. I did about 1 1/2 scoops of the Cherry to 1 scoop of the Chai for a 16oz cup. I would highly recommend it!

I love this tea. It is a good blend of sweet, tart & cherries. I usually add lime and honey to my tea but I don't have to add anything to this one. I brew as directed and drink it hot.:)

I really love this tea. I am a cherry-lover anyway, but so many teas have an imitation cherry taste. This is a wonderful REAL cherry flavor that comes from the full cherries in the tea. Wonderful. Good anytime of the day.

This tea is one of the only black tea I will drink. I basically a green tea drinker. I find black teas too strong and malty for me.
But I thought I would this a try, and to my surprise I liked it. The tea has a fruity taste makes a great ice tea.

I generally don't prefer flavored black teas but this tea is one of my exceptions. Its tart, sweet, and uniquely flavorful. Its a particularly lovely tea on a cold winter night. I'll be giving this tea as a gift to friends this holiday season.

This one I was really looking forward to, but was disappointed. I love the other Cherry teas from Teavana, the Snow Geisha is my very favorite tea, but this is too sour. I know, I should have known from the name, but thought I'd try it out. I was excited because I am really appreciating more black teas and wanted to add to my vast Teavana collection, but I traded this one with a coworker for Fruit Bomba Green. We were both happy however, he loves the Sour Cherry!
