I received this tea in a gift pack. I was skeptical because I don't care for cream in my tea, which is the usual way to drink chais. I was pleasantly surprised by this chai. It is quite light but, the flavor is complex as long as you don't drown it in milk and sugar. You do need to brew it for the recommended time for rooibos teas, at least 4 or 5 minutes. One of my favorites.

i tried this tea and even though i enjoyed it, i thought it was really boring so when i needed something to calm the flavor of my raspberry riot lemon mate (waaaay too strong) i mixed the two and absolutely loooove the new flavor blend!!!

Rooibos Chais are my favorite chais, but this one is not that great. The lemongrass in this is unnecessary and I don't love the flavor. This just isn't my favorite blend of spices for a rooibos chai. :( I mix it with Rooibos Tropica sometimes, but I'll probably end up giving it to a friend in the hopes that they'll like it more.

Thoroughly enjoy this tea anytime of the day but especially in the evening to relax and savor. Even my husband, who previously disliked tea, enjoys it! Bought 1/2 lb for my father for Christmas and he just called asking for more so here I am getting ready to buy some more. Highly recommend.

I am a big fan of rooibos and chai - so this seemed a perfect tea to try. This is the first tea I've ordered online (without getting to smell it first in store). When I received it, it smelled very spicy and cinnamon-y. I was afraid it would be too spicy (like the Samurai Chai Mate - the only Teavana tea I've tried that I didn't like). However, one brewed, it is a great chai, albeit a bit weaker than the aroma would suggest. I steeped it a second time for about 7-8 minutes and with less water and it was still very good.

I love chai tea and was really hoping to fall in love with this one. It was highly recommended to me in the store, and after reading the reviews on here, I guess many people have fallen in love with it. It wasn't a bad tea, especially for the price, but I found it somewhat one-dimensional. It didn't have the complexity and fullness of flavor I was hoping for. Even after doubling the amount of tea leaves, I found this flat and somewhat disappointing. I am eager to try some of the other chai Teavana has and hope to find one that suits my preferences.

I did enjoy this tea more with a bit of soymilk, or blended with Mate Vana. It just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I've had better. I would recommend trying this in the store before purchasing, as there are many different kinds of chais out there, and this may or may not be what you're looking for. Still, it's inexpensive and is certainly not bad, if you want to just go for it and see for yourself...

I make a pot of this tea in the morning for my eye-opener. I put milk and organic sugar in it to make it smooth. Then I add more water to the pot and when I'm ready for another cup I heat it in the microwave, or just drink it at room temperature.

This and the Rooibos Haute Chocolate were the first two teas I ever bought at Teavana, and the Rooibos Chai is still one of my favorites! It's great blended with Haute Chocolate for a caffeine-free drink, or with Matevana for a half-caff cup! (Although My Morning Mate has replaced that combo for me now.) My favorite preparation for the Rooibos Chai is a super-strong and super-sweet chai latte. I use double the amount of tea, then add lots of rock sugar and milk, or use a sweet coffee creamer. (French Vanilla or CoffeeMate's Italian Sweet Cream work best.)

After spending more than an hour at teavana I was making my way out when a sample of tea that eluded me caught my eye. At first I was skeptical to how it would taste because I usually shy away from teas that are strongly flavored. Well I'm glad I tried it. It had a very mild cinamon flavor just enough to warm you up, and to my surprise it was very delicate and extremely soothing. I absolutely love it when I want to relax.

This tea was recommended to me in the store. I have allergies and Rooibos is supposed to be good for that. While Peppermint helps with congestion, I was totally sick of peppermint at the time. I smelled it and it was exactly what my mood had in mind. LOVED it and ended up buying 4oz to steep at home as an afternoon tea.

I tried it with blended with Nut Brulee (my fave tea) since it was recommended, didn't like that at all. I like this one on its own totally.

I love it brewed for 10 minutes in a 1:1 mix with either Mate'Vana or Roobios Haute. Just remember that the Mate' is caffinated. Enjoy!

I was looking for a tea to satisfy my woes while I quit smoking (cold turkey) and gave up coffee. I needed the antioxidants in a tea that had a strong enough flavor to hold up to my numbed taste buds....and this tea did it. I use very little sugar to sweeten. I can get two steeps; the second is weaker, but still has a very good flavor.

Since I began my love affair with this tea a little over a month ago, I've devoured about a pound of it. I'm on here now to order more. It is well worth the money. I get so excited everytime I make a new cup of tea.

Quite a delicious tea. I am not a tea junkie, but this specific tea always puts me in a divine mood.

Rooibos tea first off is my favorite style of tea. The boldness, health benefits and price are all working together to make it far superior to green or white teas. High temp for steeping, great overall flavor and the blending ability (MateVana) make this a winner. Good anytime but best on cold days when some warm spice will only do it for you. Mix with the matevana for an am eye opener that will make you soar through the afternoon w regular sipping.

I love this tea! I drink it in the morning with a little milk. It makes me feel warm and energized and I truly feel that it clears my head. It gives me a lot of energy without a crash. I really enjoy chai teas and am absolutely wild about this one. I love its aroma, the layers of flavors and its spiciness. It's great with milk and/or sweetner or just as is. For myself, I always use both in a cup of tea; however, I find myself using less with this chai. It really doesn't need it, but alas, I am a creature of habit. The price is very reasonable especially considering the quality of this tea. When trying a new tea, I compare it to this. Sadly none can match this chai in my book. It's raised the bar a few notches.

I usually get a large amount of this particular tea, and smaller amounts of other teas, like Mate vana and the like, because I use this particular tea as a base. I mix this tea with others to create blends that please my palette. I also add honey and lemon to this particular roobois, so long as I'm not mixing it with a sweeter blend like Mate Vana.

I bought this tea after trying it outside the Teavana store. I also love Chai Tea Lattes from [@] so I bought this tea to try to imitate that drink. I bought 4 oz. of this tea along with 4 oz. of the MateVana in order to match the tea sample I tried. However, when I got home, the two didn't go well together. I really do not like the MateVana tea. I have limited my tea drinking (of the Rooibos Chai) because it just wasn't satisfactory. I think it was too weak where I am looking for a stronger and definitely spicier chai tea. I spent [$] on tea that trip and I kind of regret it. This chai isn't as full bodied as I'd like it to be. I think I am going to try the Masala Chai next time.
