I use this teapot almost everyday, and I love it. I've had it for over a year and haven't had problems. I'll admit, being American, I was a bit impatient waiting for tea to brew. I would stir the loose tea around in the infuser, thought it wasn't draining "fast" enough. I learned to just wait and let it drain on it's own. Try not to overfill it, this makes it a bit more cumbersome to manage. Had to figure out how much loose tea was enough, trial and error. All in all a great teapot for a relaxing cuppa!

The handle isn't so bad when the teapot is empty but unless you have hulk hands it's almost impossible to pour with one hand when this teapot is full because it's not ergonomic whatsoever. I exchanged mine for the Musee de The Glass teapot and am much happier.
*For all of you who shattered the glass infuser* (like me) I want everyone to know that whether you have the Belle or the Musee teapot that you should buy the Teavanna Remi 14oz tea mug and use the included stainless steel tea infuser for these tea pots. It works better anyway and is obviously unbreakable.

I've had this teapot for over a year. It's pretty great, all in all. The tea looks good diffusing, and you can get a real sense of how long your tea has been steeping based on the color, which is nice if you don't use a timer. The glass is solid enough, but don't drop it or slam it. I just broke the lid a couple weeks ago when I forgot to hold it while pouring, but that was my fault.
This isn't a perfect teapot though. I drink a lot of green tea and the inside stains fairly quickly, which isn't exactly attractive. The diffuser works best with coarse teas as finer teas will clog it. And it will clog eventually either way. Luckily, since the diffuser uses a series of slits cut into the corner of the glass I just use a piece of unflavored floss to clean it out. All the same, I would recommend either using a different teapot or a reusable teabag for some herbal teas and rooibos (or anything fine grained)
I think I'd definitely buy this again and recommed it to others.
I've been eyeing this for a while but never got around to buying it for myself.
I recently received this as a gift, and I'm really happy with it! It's convenient, and I'm glad that I can finally just have a pot of tea rather than having to boil cups of water over and over again.
There are two cons that I would like to point out however, and that is:
1. The handle is oddly shaped, making it hard to securely pick up the pot.
2. Like the other reviews say, the infuser has little slits and sometimes the tea leaves can get caught inside and make it hard to clean. It's also not that practical since little tea leaves fall out if it anyway and you're left with little bits of leaves inside your cup.
What I particularly love about this teapot however, is that it's simple and has lasted me for about a month now- unlike what the other reviews say about it just lasting them two weeks. These days, I don't really even use the infuser. I just stick two tea bags in there and fill it with hot water.
Unlike most reviewers, I got this teapot to brew tea, not to slam on the counter. I have knocked it on the sink once, but there were absolutely no signs of damage.
I mostly use this teapot for blooming teas, for which you don't need the infuser, but I have done loose tea in it many times as well and have had virtually no problems with the way it infuses.
The teapot looks great and, with proper handling, works great. I've had mine for 2 years and it has survived a lot of use and even a couple of moves to other states. It may not be for everyone, but it was definitely for me.
The infuser doesn't drain. I've had to use a spoon to move the tea out of the way of the "holes" and it still won't drain properly.
The lid cracked less than a week after I bought I bought it.
I'm highly disappointed in this product.
Purchased this to surprise my mom. Looks really nice by itself until you actually try to use it. The strainer doesn't train the tea at all. Too fragile.
- Very pretty
- No Replacement Parts
- Shelf Ornament
- Special occasions
Aesthetically a beautiful teapot, functionally impractical due to poor infuser design. also, unless you live in a padded home it is far to fragile for daily use. Broke the infuser washing it in the ceramic sink 2nd week I has it. And when I search for an exact replacement they have none for this model. So, if you plan to use it as decorative/special occasion shelf ornament it would be fine. For every day use far to fragile and dysfunctional.
- Tea Body:
The teapot is nice, but the infuser is useless. Pieces of tea clogged up the hole of the glass filer and small pieces of tea were not filtered out. I bought a Finum gold filter and I am happy with the combination.
I would use a tea light to try to keep the water hot, but it never worked, which is weird because at the store it always works.
I love the look, and it's nice to have it out on cold fall/winter days.
Love the removable glass filter built in.
