My first time trying it I wasn't impressed. This I owe to the fact that I didn't use the right tea strainer.
My second time around (today) I used the right tea strainer so it held a little more fruit & didn't have the tiny tea particles in my drink. The flavor was INCREDIBLE this time around. I also added a small amount of the German rock sugar & a little bit of milk which paired together nicely. Plus, I could actually taste the chocolate which was a nice change from other "chocolate" tea's. This "normal" cup of tea all of a sudden became a new experience to me. Its my liquid gold. Above all tea's I've ever tasted, this ranks number 1.
My only suggestion in order to really enjoy it would be to bring the water to an almost rolling boil & let it sit for a little longer then what the package recommends for brewing time, or else the spiciness from the chilies just isn't there.

Teavana has not responded this any customer requests to post approximate calorie count for this tea - yet it has chocolate pieces in it - a lot. For tea-drinkers on restricted calorie diets (for whatever reason - diabetes, weight, other illnesses or just plain health interest), the difference between a 5-calorie tea and 50-calorie tea is significant.
The question is all over the web but no one knows the answer.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
The tea smells fantastic but lacks the taste. Very flat, weak. I can only drink it when i blend it with other strongly flavored teas. Very disappointing.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
The description of this tea was what inspired me to place my first order with Teavana; it seemed like exactly the sort of unique mix of flavors I'd enjoy. While it took a bit of experimentation and I prefer it blended with a straight black tea, it's quickly becoming one of my favorites.
It has a wonderful aroma and, as other reviews have mentioned, you can actually taste the chocolate, unlike other teas where the chocolatey flavor is overpowered by the sweetness of other ingredients. I recommend steeping for about twice the suggested time, as it seems a bit weak otherwise.
The name is slightly misleading as the pepper flavor is extremely subtle. It's definitely there, but it's not going to jump out at you. Renaming the product might help a bit; keep the "Aztec" but opt for something other than "Fire", as there's really nothing fiery about this tea.
Nonetheless, this is a unique blend with a good balance of flavors. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something different. If you're like me and prefer to blend your herbal teas with a black, green or white, Teavana's English Breakfast is an excellent match for this.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
When I first opened this I was in love. It smells like chocolate-covered strawberries, with a kick of spice! The first brewing, I didn't really taste the spice too much, but the chocolate/fruit flavor was really nice. (I'd previously tried Cocoa Praline Tart and not really liked it, so I was a little wary of another chocolatey tea.) On subsequent brewings, I got better at adding the right quantity of tea and mixing it with other teas to bring out the spice (I blended it with a cinnamon tea and--wow!). I am currently brewing it with some mint-licorice root tea and have high hopes. It's a great tea and its flavor really comes out when blended--and it's one of the coziest teas I've ever had! A winner.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
You definitely have to play around and experiment with this tea to get the desired result that you want. When you brew this tea for the first time according to the suggested recipe, it will be weak and it will not taste spicy at all. But the cocoa flavor and aroma you get from this cup is far from disappointing. I would increase the tea and steeping amount as suggested in the top review to get the most out of its flavor. I typically do not add sugar to hot tea, yet I found this flavor to have a natural, mild sweetness to it as well. If you are adventurous and like chocolate, I would definitely give this a try. It has a lot of potential.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
My favorite teas used to be in the Chai family, but after tasting the Aztec Fire...it is now my favorite. I can't go one day without having a cup! I still drink my Teavana favorites. (I must have at least 20+ canisters of tea.) The flavor of Aztec Fire is unique and amazing for you taste buds. I typically add a bit of Chocolate syrup to my tea cup and enjoy this wonderful tea!

The smell of this tea is heavenly, but it lacks some flavor. I got a couple OK brews from the two ounces, but overall, not a favorite.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
I was very excited when I first read about this tea, and was hopeful.
However, I was disappointed. The spice wasn't balanced with the rest of the tea, which was weak, leaving my mouth tastlessly burning. In addition, as the tea cooled, the chocolate solidified into grainy particles and fell out of solution. This produced a thick, grainy, vaguely chocolate-flavored sludge at the bottom and a bitter, tasteless, spicy water at the top. This was a big disappointment to me, as I like to drink my teas in the very-warm to coolish range, as opposed to boiling to scalding range.
I believe this tea could be very good, if one enjoyed drinking hot tea quickly, and didn't mind experimenting to find the best preparation technique. For someone that wants a no-fuss tea that can be drunk over any length of time, this is not the tea for you.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
When I first got this, I was sweetening it with white sugar, which made me agree with those who reviewed this as "weak."
I decided to give it another shot, this time with a bit of Agave nectar. WOW. Big difference to me. Perfect for a chilly day when you don't want sugar loaded hot cocoa.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
Picked this one up after work today based on two things: 1) intriguing name and 2) appealing, complex scent. I am not disappointed in the least.
After purchasing the tea, then reading the other reviews... before actually tasting it... I was a bit on the hesitant / not-expecting-to-like-it side. It's actually QUITE enjoyable! Had it after dinner, added a touch of sweetener and it satisfied my dessert-need immediately. Very very smooth :) My husband added no sweetener and enjoyed it as well.
I think I will purchase more of this one to have on hand as an after-dinner treat.

Comments about Teavana Azteca Fire® Herbal Tea:
This tea smells good, but that's about where that ends. I expected some body and a spicy kick from a tea that's called Azteca Fire. Instead, I got a watery concoction that tasted vaguely of dried apples. I tried using double the recommended amount to see if I could get some flavor out of it... still nothing.
