Hyakunin Isshu' is a Japanese anthology of 100 poems by 100 poets. Compiled in the 13th century by poet, Fujiwara no Sadaie, each poem is comprised of waka, 5 line poems of 31 syllables. Our 16 oz silver black square teapot is adorned by white calligraphic lettering depicting a New Year's Poem. Comes with a beautiful bamboo handle, built-in strainer & four 4oz cups. The artist's insignia is imprinted in red.
