In Japanese tradition the wave symbolizes positive change. Our finely detailed Kisa Wave teapot is made using tradition-steeped methods by the 16th generation of artisans, all from the same family. Featuring a fully-enameled inside and a stainless steel strainer for easy cleaning, this is a beautiful tetsubin or Japanese cast iron teapot. Made from Kobe steel, the best quality in Japan, it has an eggshell finish with several layers of hand-applied lacquer that has been heat-tempered for strength and durability. Teapot holds 33oz.
